Frequently Asked Questions About Alloy Wheel Repair
Have questions about alloy wheel repair, powder coating, wheel refinishing, curb rash repair, cracked wheels, or bent rims? Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions.
Can alloy wheels be repaired instead of replaced?
Yes. Many alloy wheels with curb rash, bends, cracks, corrosion, peeling clear coat, or cosmetic damage can be professionally repaired for significantly less than the cost of replacing the wheel. Our goal is to restore your factory wheel whenever it is safe to do so.
How long does wheel repair usually take?
Many wheel repairs can be completed the same day, while more extensive repairs are typically finished within 24 to 48 hours. Temporary wheels may also be available upon request for qualifying repairs.
What types of wheel damage can you repair?
We repair curb rash, bent wheels, cracked wheels, corrosion, peeling clear coat, gouges, missing metal, machined wheel damage, and factory wheel finishes. Our technicians inspect every wheel to determine the safest repair option.
Is wheel powder coating better than traditional paint?
Powder coating provides a more durable finish than conventional paint and offers excellent resistance to road salt, brake dust, and harsh Wisconsin weather. It is an excellent choice for restoring or customizing alloy wheels.
Can you match my factory wheel color?
Yes. We use computerized paint matching technology to closely match original factory wheel colors or create a completely custom finish with thousands of available powder coating colors.
Do your wheel repairs include a warranty?
Yes. Most of our wheel refinishing and powder coating services include a 3-year limited warranty, giving you added confidence in the quality and durability of our work.
Do you remove and reinstall the tires during wheel repair?
Yes. Our Milwaukee facility is fully equipped for tire dismounting, mounting, and Hunter Road Force balancing, allowing us to complete the entire repair process in one location.
Do you offer pickup and delivery for dealerships and repair shops?
Yes. We provide free pickup and delivery within 12 miles of our Milwaukee repair facility for dealerships, body shops, tire shops, repair shops, and detail shops, helping keep your workflow moving efficiently.
